I know many owners don't like to stock indicators which look a bit crude and upgrades are popular. I've fitted these Rizoma indicators that I think are an improvement. The front indicators act as running lights and the rear as additional tail lights and brake lights. The flashing orange of the indicators is very sharp and more visible than stock. Tried to attach a video but unable....
Had to make a 'stalk' to move the indicators out a bit. This was machined out of acetal over a stainless steel tube, through which the wiring runs. The resitors, which are needed to get them to work properly, are in the headlight shell and tail unit. The Rizoma indicators are well made with an aluminium body and seem pretty solid.
Thought this might be of interest to other owners. Incidentally, all other bulbs are now LED as well.

This looks great. You could have replaced the blinker relay with an adjustable one and did not need the resistors. Rizoma makes the best, along with Motogadget

Those indicators are so minimalist I can't see them in your pics! I wanted something that looked a bit more like a 1960's bike. Lots of options out there that are better than stock.
60s Brit bike = no indicators !

Here’s mine zoomed in…

The problem I’ve noticed with a lot of LED indicators is that when flashing, although they are bright, they are only visible directly in front or behind the bike. This is made even worse when they are tucked in close.

The Rizoma indicators have a little clear window in the side of the housing to give visibility from the side. I agree that separation is also important. I nearly collided with a motorcyclist indicating a turn the other day. The LED indicators were so close to the bright headlight that they weren't visible.

I like my blinkers to be seen by other motorists .
Me too.

The good ones like Rizoma, Motogadget, etc are good.

These ones (same as I fitted to the front of the 961) have 180 degree visibility and super brightness even next to this headlight which is a very bright ‘Cyclops’ LED on main beam.

As mentioned above, they are indeed brightest from the front / rear views, but as you can see here, even there side-on view is rather impressive…

I don't think you can beat well placed LED's for brightness .

Hey FE, so the base of the lights effectivey acts as the side bolt for the headlight, yeah? Any pics on how that installs? Is it pretty firm?
I just used them as a bolt to hold the headlight.

It’s actually the same thread as the captured nut in the headlight but due to the need to position the indicator in a certain orientation I had to drill out the threads and use a nut so I could get the orientation as well as get them tight.

Seems plenty firm enough and works well, haven’t put many miles on yet tho as it’s spent most of the riding season so far back at the factory !!

Alternatively one could easily use one of the other holes in the headlamp ears and leave the standard headlamp bolts in place. That just wasn’t quite minimalist enough for me.

I don't understand why Norton don't offer more customisation options. Would fit with their premium brand position. LED indicators and headlamp, more wheel options, tubeless tyres etc.
IMHO probably because light options are freely available through the aftermarket. Wheels, brake rotors, bodywork, etc all require factory time, effort and money - for the 961, which will be sunset as soon as their new models arrive.
