Building a Triton and have started to look for instruments, or at least begin to think about them.
Chronos are out due to price.

Thinking of going with the grey faced RSM/SSM type.

My question is, does anyone know what an A suffix means in a gauge number?
For instance.

ssm 5001/00 1600 versus ssm 5001/00A 1600

I would think it's some minor upgrade during the production run, but I have no idea.
Anyone?
Thanks.

In my opinion it means the name of the product, SSM as speedos meter.

'A' appears to indicate a minor alteration or a later production run so SSM 5001/00A can be used in place of SSM 5001/00.

This is pretty much what I guessed, just hoping someone knowledgeable could confirm that.

Or at least someone
more so than I am. :)
