As a bystander to this overheated discussion, I must point out in Danno's defence that you did, in your second post in this thread, state that...

In a full SS configuration this tiny motor would seem to be WAY hotter than a combat commando ever dreamed to be...potentially a 8000rpm engine ???

It's not really that important - but I think you owe him an apology. We should be getting on with riding Nortons and helping each other - not this crap!
Cheers
Rob

All I did was show some enthusiasm for his projects and ask a simple question. he can stuff his apology up his ignorant ass.

your post about the hotrodded 650 engine where you said

that you did, in your second post in this thread, state that

As I keep emphasizing the the title and content of the second post was 88SS which is commonly known as a 500cc engine not 650

People who have paid attention have seen if I know I make a mistake, I will publicly acknowledge it. and have done so several times.
But take their screw up as MY mistake ....sorry ain't gona happen.
All he had to do is say he misinterpreted the sections, maybe rephrase his question so it would be possible to answer it (intelligently) and we would have been ready to go.
Sorry danno's reputation has been discussed between members off forum. and again he has delivered...

I'd rather discuss... why all pre commando valve stems are .3095 and the commando ones are .3105. Does anyone know why? or have more or better data?
