SKF 9815 seal

After doing a search on this forum I purchased a SKF 9815 seal to attempt to cure a persistent leak around the kick starter shaft. One question on the installation. Should the seal lip go on the inside towards the gearbox or towards the outside?

Depends on whether you want to keep oul out of the gearbox or in it.
