Almost killed by deer strike 5-6 years ago, recovered to create
hi end items but not yet pilot his Salt Lake 500 Norton hi rev excess.

Sir Eddy, you can call the shop 503-266-8747
503 266 9626 is the other one. (2 lines)
Mind is sharp but he fusses a bit talking,,,
he gets embarrassed about it
give him a call.

Place cursor on image then tag view image for full photo + blow up.

Yes and No,
Yes but my forensic CIA 'puter friend has so far only recovered
files up 1999>2007 that were reformatted over in partitioned
then un-portioned hard drive hostage ware infection.
So No photo's of mine to share at this time and digi camera
transfer is failing since yesterday attempts.

Sir Ed made a few versions for other Norton twins, so photo
of them on several bikes exist, I've seen em - to pick
style to order, but still lost in digital limbo here.

Call Ed - he may alert Dough McQuire in Oregon, a devoted disciple,
to send to me to share or post in pubic to share,
before I get em mounted on Ms Peel to stare at.

I kinda doubt any more unless a a confirmed number pre-ordered
as must have cast in batches then long toil to finish that
cuts into the time he has left to see his dream machine run.

World class artists are like that late in life.

I have pictures of them on a bike but I'm not set up to post pictures.
I can e-mail them so someone if they can post them.

Scott

OK please send to hobot@madisioncounty.
Got an album for Sir Eddy. I've seen photo's of his antique
racer days and salt lake practice before deer strike.
Hope his friends keeping photo records to view long term.

I did not acquire Peel's set very willingly, fine as they are, price
cut into other parts. But they tricked me by sending just
a points cover to trade for some help, and that was all
is took to get whole kit, as once in life time machinist art.
Any who, maybe its too late already.

This is my pic that was lifted from my P-Bucket page. Looks good does'nt it? :D

Also, why do we need two threads about this guy running at once? We need two threads like we need yet another thread about that new Commando. Actually it has been almost a week since that guy in England has started a thread about the new Commando. Something must be wrong.

Coco,

The photo's were sent me by Doug McQuire an Oregon follower
of Sir Ed, so didn't know whose bike it was.
OOOHH LA LA
Beyond my capacity to attain that fit and finishes so will
make a desk top back ground to study and drool over.

Sir Ed's covers are about only thing Commando related
so one thread on that.
The other Sir Ed subject line was for search-able interest in his
Norton related work that a few high end racers or riders
tap into for special solutions.

Those finned instrument buckets on the black 750 are the coolest. I bid on a set on ebay last year but didn't win.

hobot, no biggie about my pic, I was just admiring my own photographic prowess.

I'm sure they keep the speedo and tach from overheating.

Well, since there is no oil going through the fins, I think you're right. The covers look cool but won't cool anything.

Does anyone know the price of these coolers??? They look so good! I love the black Norton: what fender is it in the front? Chain guard ? The primary cover looks good too!
Philippe

Just spoke to Sir Eddy,
he sells the valve- cover set for $245, shipped
he sells the rocker spindle cover set for $245 shipped.
He has plenty of rocker spindle 'cooler' covers - that fit all Norton twins
500 and up, just oil feed detail varies as needed.
He has 6 sets of the valve covers left and a supply of point covers on hand.
He was selling half dozen a month before the bank crisis last year
cut that flow down to one set or so a month.

His land speeder 11,000 rpm 500 twin awaits special pistons
and rally road racer to work up full power tune this year on next.

hi hobot, do you have any more details on sir eddys 500 ie spec sheets or parts used

Thank you for the price. Why is it call coolers when the oil is still going through the route ? Will this chunk of aluminium bolted on the side of the head will help in any way the cooling ?
Philippe

Sir Eddy, shop 503-266-8747, calls them oil manifolds, not coolers.
I called them that d/t all the exposed Al fins.
In reality they are just vanity items like make up just to make
us grin or feel better.

On the black 750 ss what is the line between the exhause and the primary cover?

thanks
