Early P11 in bits from the US. Frame arrived already powder coated, so dismayed at my own stupidity to notice , after fitting engine , gearbox and front forks that those small but significant silencer brackets were absent!
I know of no other P11 owners in my neck of the woods , so no reference as to positioning of these brackets which I imagine is critical if you want the pipes in the right place , avoiding primary casing , side panel etc.
Can any body please give me an accurate measurement between the rear shock top bolt centre and the bolt hole centre in the silencer bracket?
I have one measurement supplied by Anthony Curzon which is : 8 5/32" or around 207.6 mm, I would like that verified before I go mad with the sif welding.
Many thanks in advance!

Will, thank you! I'm grateful to Anthony, I just needed an independent measure up to be absolutely sure.
Mine is also March '67 121079.
I've found a cycle frame builder not too far away with the traditional skills to Sif bronze weld the lugs to the frame. Reynolds 531 tubing needs careful handling!

I had mine at the Somerset festival of transport for the last 2 years. I live near Portsmouth so not that far away. I know of 5 or 6 in my area. mine is in the prototype colours. the picture attached to my profile was March in this years Norton Owners Club calendar.

I joined the NOC too late to receive the calendar, but I've admired your bike in the P11 'readers rides' thread, very nice looking bike!
