Its a silly tradition I want to believe so Peel sports one on her down tube brace, given by Smokey a chopper builder into British Iron. Come on who else has this road fate vaccination mark?

FOOK NO! Crash cage is just for the dangerous public operation not low to hi side secure flings Peel does to prove Master Code wrong as everyone else on what really matters in harsh handling. Crash cage will limit Peel's lean to mid 50's degree so stifles what she is really about but still able to take on corner cripples with it in public. I don't like the squared off tube ends down low so will road file em to 50' angle. This will also give me a sense of how hard to grind on them w/o pogoing off em in surprise. Will be funny if I hung a line of bells on the tubes and I can use all the help possible to survive out there and may give Peel nick name of ice cream bike. Jingle jingle jingle. Its mostly a Harley thing so expect recoil from Nortoneers.

Damn Hobot, I didn't figure you to be a gremlin bell kinda guy...

It looks like there is a long way to go before you need to be concerning yourself with dangling your ding-a-ling.
When can we expect the great Miss Peel to be on the road Embarrassing Crotch Rockets, Smoking Harleys and putting Dual Sport bikes in their place?

I hear Keith Code is going to issue an invitation to a track day and make a video documentary on the maiden voyage of this ..............thing.

"Watch this!"

Hobot you shure know how to stretch the boundarys. The bells ding- a-lings could also come in handy to ward off Mountain lions and bears. Branches and sticks could be bounced off such frame when trailblazing too.

Steve before you weld that thing on.
Check out, U-Tube -2011 Harley Davidson Lowside Motorcycle Crash by Mickeymouse

or its on the Ducati MS site , Sports Touring 'Ground Clearance"

You could weld in sheet panels, to form pannier tank /air duct as per `73 J.P.N. Mono`..
As for jingle bells, - watch out for Bad Santa/Robo Santa - you`ll have to go like the clappers..
Santa/Satan..hmmm spooky..
Actually, last post may have a point, might want some low-friction nylon plugs for road contact, unless you want sparkly pyro effects to go with the tinkle bell sounds..

Webshot sold out so past Peel ding a ling not on tap right now so only the cage shots had a bell view.

I'm science tested but know life is pure magic so who am I to tell my bell gifter ex-1%'r he's silly and superstitious. But for sure they don't do squat for me. Trixie don't sport a bell but I think Wes's might. Surely theres others that will appear like magic on our digital age screen. Small bells are like small deer whistles pure wishful thinking to pacify an ancient neurological fear system.

One of the first things I do ona bike is find their fouling limits, got video of that on Trixie when axle broke and later did exactly same as the sparking HD did. The mistake is to hold the scratching down - when angle and speed of turn don't require it, it should only foul once in a turn at max lean. I cut my mc teeth on the P!! that couldn't lean as much that HD and Peel will have more power than P!!, Yikes! err a Yea!. Peel's cage foul angle is 55' degree's. Maybe my flight envelopes got freaky more than expected but I learned to slide on P!! frame rails essentially on first ride so sort of looking forward to seeing if a stunt could be done like that on Peel too. Ti I hear makes very bright white sparks. Hey it just struck me, I could hang bells on end of cage to warn the road off in time.

Peel could be assembled and run today but for some linkages and hoses and wiring, but need engine installed to detail but engine needs a couple of fittings installed I've yet to send, before its home again. I also own a real Combat and that is similar to an old sail boat so ain't exactly been avoiding Commando fettering in time stolen from everything else.

Is that hobot speak for..... I have no idea when it will be finished?

Indefinite completion but front and center of my attention and living room. Next no cost step is remove the bell and grind down frame roughness then pickle insides then base paint, then slogans then thermal paint over. Peel gets so low w/o cage will make a different shifter placement with toe striup and heel brake peddle, as toes get knocked off and takes extra time to get toe over or under the shifter. I did rebuild Trixie from crankshaft up last year and then a re-ring job so can only deal with one major process at a time. Dang ole riding mower got taken apart this summer too. Mc's are expensive stupid dangerous luxury for some of us. Peel in phase 4 can side leap a full barrel roll if I let her so those sensations take some of the rush out of getting to point of decision to actually try to complete one...

MIght be fun to video the bell swaying side to side or beyond.
