Would you mind posting a picture of what you're getting?
Changing down is a pain on my upper foot sometimes.
I imaging shifter must be a bit cranked to get the heel part above the footrest.

No worries, I’ll post a picture of the finished item when it’s on the bike.
I have a MK3, with the shifter on my left foot, so changing up from 1st to 2nd and up etc,
will mean I don’t have to get my toe under the existing shifter, but simply push down with
my heel on the rear of the new shifter.
Right foot version would be nice also.
Don’t know if there would be enough demand for something like this for companies
like Colorado Norton or Jim Comstock to come up with a part?
Hoping it all works nice and easy and is easier on the old joints.
