First time under her own power since 1979. I bought the bike last April and just finished restoring her. Thanks to the forum for the great info and thanks to Old Britts for the kick-ass Power Arc Ignition System. Here's an incredibly short video clip:

That's gotta be a great feeling. I'm still working on my restored bike I had to redo. Was the power arc difficult to set up? The other guy, Chris seemed to have problems with his. I'm curious because I want to buy one instead of the old boyer so any sound info would be great.

Congrates on bringing another Commando back for the whole world to enjoy.
I've only had a few short seasons or so before something went horrible wrong in my last 12 yrs of motorcycling with emphasis on Commandos. Good video on Norton Snorting, keep it that way for us all.

20 degrees and still two feet of snow in the yard. GOD I needed that.

Aint that a great feeling? I remember bringing my BSA RGS to life after at least 25 years of dead silence. I had re-worked every nut, bolt and washer on that bike and had my doubts about it starting. When the day came to put fuel in it and to kick it over, it actually startled me when it lit off on the second kick! Man that's a great feeling. Congratulations and good on ya for keeping another Commando on the road.

Well done! I had been riding my bike after its restoration for a while when my daughter shot some video of me taking off. The sound of a Commando MK3 from the riders position is not that exciting. When I heard how it sounded going down the road....it was very exciting!!!! I'm sure you feel the same way. Enjoy.

Great Job Anglophile
What a sound. Enjoyed that snort from the old girl. The winter is too long here.

I must say that motor sounds really good and she has some real giddy up. Must be a 19 toother. Me thinks the early 750's have more grunt than the bigger bore one. I love my 71. Nice job.
