seeking advice on transmission bushings R+R

these things look like they won't come out easily.... does anyone have a suggestion?

A proper spud turned from aluminum with a nice shoulder, and heat to release it

The gear should be a slide fit to push out. Use an old tap and tap into the kick-start bushing. Then place the tap tight into a vice with the shaft and rap the kick-start shouldered area with a hide mallet. Should pop out with not too much fuss.

These are not really the problem ones. Sleeve gear and 1 st. gear bushes are the real ones to concern with. :| We won't talk about layshaft bearing now. :|
