SCS Delta 400 Users Group

This is my mine :
Thanks Tony, both yours and Clive's print out looks a lot better thank mine. I definitely need something done to improve mine. Before spending more on hardware I'm going to call the guys who mapped it and see what they say.

I appreciate your input 👍🏻

It's a 2018 model formally with a Omex ECU. Euro 4 with ABS.

It was remapped on a Dyno, an authorised dealer for Dynojet. They said they'd had experience of SCS software and ECU.
They should be able to improve that for you.

Hello Users....

Today I had SCS hook up and try to resolve my low fuel light problem on my Euro4 CR.

Unfortunately, this problem is still not resolved, during the troubleshooting I tried to locate 'low fuel light' relay on my bike. Only two wires are connected to it, yellow and white and black and green, according to the Euro service manual. The manual points to it being under the tank somewhere near the coils, but I can't find it! Has anyone ever seen it and know it's location?

Thanks
Garry

I've just found it! Its in the headlamp shell should anyone need to know!

Are you kidding me ? Really I would never have known that. My 2014 does not have a relay in the headlamp shell. What year is your Euro4 CR ?

Hi Tony, it was manufactured in 2018.

I swapped over the relay for another of the same type from under my seat, I was optimistic but alas made no difference.

SCS were able to switch my low fuel light on and off whilst they were connected, but it doesn't work when low on fuel ..

SCS are looking into this..

I may try a Omex ECU to see if it works with that... I am also wondering if it the actual sensor giving me this grief. Putting on Omex back on will hopefully put that to bed.

many thanks both, I guess I will not proceed on that.
But I will come very soon with important update suggestion for SCS 400 expert users.
Hi Portofino
I tried to send a private message to you but wasnt able to. I have a couple of questions if you have a moment..
Question… Have you updated your injectors? If so, what is the manufacturer? Do you have a part number?
I was able to get a lead from Tony on some injectors, but in case I cant get them easily, it would be nice to have another source.
Question… I’d like to upgrade my ecu to the Delta 400s. Currently, I have a 2013 so I believe it is the Typhoon ecu. Are you still developing the Delta maps? If I do get a new Delta ecu, would you be able to send a map that hopefully gets close to my bikes configuration? It has a BMC air filter, Thiel bypass pipe, Norton long race mufflers that have baffles removed, the IAC is blocked off and the throttle bodies have the separating modification, along with upgraded coils, wires, and spark plugs.
Thanks
Shayne

Hi Shayne, due to recent scammers, now only paying (VIP) members can now send or receive private messages.

A company called Injectortune in the U.K. offer refurbished & upgraded injectors, so maybe drop them a line? sales@injectortune.co.uk

Hi Charlotte, after testing with other Bosch injectors with 30% more static flow rate I came back to the original, of course Bosch ones samples. I bought them five years ago, I remember already difficulties to find them on the web, no information today. I never stopped to develop Delta maps for my Commando, just for fun and my engineer's curiosity. Surely I can send you my latest map but you know, no 961 is close or even similar to another, therefore no guarantee at all to the outcomes.

Thanks Portofino. I will definitely keep that in mind.

Hi everybody, I have a Norton 961 commando Mark two café racer. I've got the Delta 400 ECU. I've done various upgrades including new injectors, new new sensors I'm still trying to get the idol better and I've been reading this thread I wanted to make a post and get everybody's opinion is removing the idle control valve and tuning without the idle control valve, still the best option. if everybody still thinks that removing the idle control valve is the best option, I would be very gracious if somebody can provide me with a baseline tune so that I can bypass some of the time required to tune these bikes I understand that every bike is individual and will need specific tuning, but I'd love to get something close to save some time.

The base SCS Map for Norton 961 (race cans ) should be a good starting point. It will be safe to run that way as it’s on the richer side. The problem with running the IAC is that it messes with your AFR through the connecting cross passage . Look at the configuration section of your ECU in SX Tune and look for this . They should have it pre loaded when you ordered it.

Definitely, and as @TonyA has mentioned, they typically preload a map - but will share some if you need.

I would reccommend setting the ECU to adjust the idle by ignition timing & turning off the ICV.

If you want the best outcome, block the balance tube.

Look in ECU configuration section. You should see there the Race Cans note .
