So few days left here now, bike goes back via the Panama Canal on Monday, 8,500 miles in 8 and a half weeks, serviced twice ,first time by Norton Canada as a gesture ,eternally grateful for that ,fresh oil & the 107 bike upgrades have worked a treat , second service at Team MCC Chicago & paid the going rate, two new tyres donated by Dunlop at 5,700 miles again very grateful, bike blew a rear light bulb & used .8 of a litre of oil, temps were over 40 degree c in the deserts , will have to replace 2 indicators, overloaded a panier & another damaged by tank bag slipping , loads of petrol or gas ,consumption was low forties fully loaded & two up , cruised 55/60mph most of time , but lot of 70mph journeys on my own where possible.
Most popular comments " is that a Norton "/ "what year is that "/ "didn't know they made them still "/"are u crazy " / & best one when my son was with me " and what bike is your son riding " & my reply was of course " he's on the back of the Norton !
