I made a workshop bench out of a long skinny old table frame that I cut down to to the right height and welded some big castors so when I have a rebuild to do it sits at the right height and when not working on the bike I just wheel it to a unuse part of my shed till next time I do some work on it, I rebuilt my Norton on it 5 years ago and now have my project Norton on it now waiting for when I am ready to start back on it.
I picked up a couple of these earlier this year. There are different prices depending on the manufacturer but you get the idea. I got 2 from Italy for $100 shipped from from Amazon but I dont see them listed anymore.Would be perfect for your garage as the floor is so smooth and they are easy to get bike on because they are so low. http://www.fastbikebits.com/product/1327/centre-stand-bike-mover

This is a great idea for moving bike(s) around the shop or garage, but I wanted something I could use during the build that would not take up much space. I like those for the finished bikes that I might need to move.
