Looking at an old P11A rolling basketcase.
It's a P11A Ranger, I believe it has an "A" in the serial number. Matching numbers. Not sure if it's a `68 or `69. Front forks have been swapped out with longer Ceriani forks and yokes. Front wheel non-stock. Original oil tank is gone, replaced by a round barrel shaped tank, probably from a chopper shop years ago. Tank is intact. Seat is incorrect. Side cover missing. Top end off the engine but I believe all the parts are there. Frame appears to be un-molested. I'd plan on doing a complete restoration so it wouldn't be cheap. So at a minimum I'd need forks, front hub, wheel, fender, oil tank, side cover, seat.

So what's a rough ballpark price for a P11 like this? I'm thinking $3k but I may be way off. I've seen nice restored bikes going for $8-10K depending on the model.
Not sure how the Ranger stacks up against the P11 for rarity. I'm pretty sure the bike does not have a title, and I'd probably get a dealers bill of sale, and he is the owner now through a mechanics lien.

Mark,
I paid 3k for my 69 basket case. Got some pictures of the bike? Mine needed lots of stuff but you can ask billT and he can direct you to some places to shop for your parts. Mike Partridge can help up here in Canada. Walridge Motors.
Git your wallet out this build is not going to be cheap. Every bolt nut is cycle thread or Wit. My build is slow as I am always sent away on business campaigns and such but I should get things together soon. Ha ha....I told myself I was going to have it finished by last summer.
They are rare and in good order fetch a good resell price.
Cheers,
Thomas
