Is it possible to run full oil pressure to the rockers from the back of the timing cover on an early Norton 650 instead of the feed off the return line that is has now?
Would this cause it too wet sump, or take too much pressure away from the bottom end?
I've been told it might keep the top end cooler, its sounds like a good idea, but what am I overlooking? And what do I do with the current set up?

When the factory did that (from serial 116372) they doubled the speed of the oil pump and changed the rocker spindle design.

This doesn't sound like such a good idea now.......I'm going to leave her alone....

as well as using seals on the valve guides

Yes, but (inlet) valve guides with seals were not fitted until five years later (Commando, from 149670, 1971).
