Is it only me who struggles with the available roadster seats?

I love my Corbin, but when looking for a pillion option, things got stressful! It just seems to me that most currently available seats basically spoil the lines of the roadster.

I really like the look of the S type seat, but don't like the gap between it and the later side panels. Oh the stress!

So, to the happy ending, I contacted P&P seats in the UK and asked them if they could make me something that looked like an S type seat, but on a later roadster seat base. They hummed and ha'd and, told me they don't keep anything in stock, and that this would be a 'custom job' and to cut to the chase, 6 days later it was delivered to my door. The attached picture doesn't really do it justice, but I'm chuffed:

So, does it cush the tush as you'd hoped?

Not ridden it yet Nate!

I am a Corbin fan though, they're firm but arse shaped and hold you in place nicely. I'm not expecting this one to be better than a Corbin comfort wise for sure.

Ah, OK.

The new saddles look a little like an anaconda that had just swallowed a piglet (imho).
I too wanted an "S" looking saddle shape, so I had Jon Revilla (theseatguyjon.com) cut mine down and flatten it out.
I love the look but the Norton logo ends up a little low.

Wot no strap!?!

Nice colour paintwork yer got there, do you know what it is?

+1 on the bloated snake ref !

The seat strap was missing when I got the bike. It does look sort of naked without it, huh?
The bike was british racing green when I got it. The tank was in primer from Ross Thompson's shop, so I decided to stick with brit green.
It's a Mini Cooper color called british racing green metallic. I had a buddy shoot everything for me.

I bet Norton felt pressure from the Japanese who were making big overstuffed stepped king/queen seats and decided to follow suit adding 3 inches of foam rubber to the pillion.
Here's the "before".
Seriously. Anaconda/piglet.
