i have a set of sliders from a g15/p11 the RH side was cracked so i had found another RH slider from unknown model of roadholders. The only difference is where the cover/cap screws into the top of the slider. I will measure both tonight or tomorrow to see the actually specs, but from what i can see it is so close it could be like .010" bigger then my g15 sliders. i am not sure what model the new one would have come off and trying to get some ideas or recommendations from you here. thanks

Not something I'm real familiar with, but are these Norton roadholder style, or AMC teledraulics.
(G15 and P11 could be/were different. ??)
If Norton, Dommie and Commando sliders went from cycle thread fittings to Imperial, and could be the reason ?

I agree with Rohan

G15 would have Dominator sliders.

Though the G15/N15/33 and P11 series are both hybrids, the key difference is the P11s kept AMC wheels and forks. The G15 used Norton forks and wheels

What year G15? I can't say for sure if they changed that thread or not. I swapped out one damaged leg on my '62 ES2 for a later either Atlas or Commando one that was on the shelf. I had to machine down the area around the axle since the new one was from a later 7 3/8" wide fork, as compared to the 7" wide unit on the ES2, so the thread would appear to have stayed the same throughout the '60's. I have the forks off of my '72 Commando. I'll check the top collar thread compared to the '62 thread tonight.
As said before, P11 and G15 are two different animals, different frame, forks, wheels, and many many more components.

Yup,
Double checked last night, the slider top collar threads are the same on everything I tried, from '62 on up.

Mmmm, I tried this too, threads seem to be interchangeable on Commando with ALL earlier roadholder tele sliders.
Seems that Nortons didn't change the threads on the seal holders on the sliders anytime - only the threads in the sliders for the mudguard stays.
So maybe the OP's problem is that the seal retainers threads have worn or fretted a bit ?
Or even stripped out, and been recut ??
