Sorry if this is a simple question; still learning I'm afraid. I've got velocity stacks on my carbs at the minute and I want to revert to the early type of air filter ( not the plastic black box ). Will I have to do much with the carbs other than maybe adjust them ? I've got the original twin Amals.
Thanks all.

Often when folks install stacks they change the jetting from stock so that needs to be checked.

If you don't know the jetting/needle setting that is in the carb at the moment, I would take this opportunity to put in new stock jets/needle appropriate for the engine (850? 750?)/old style airbox and check/adjust the float level.

Sling those velocity stacks, the bike will run better without them, even with your carbs bare at the end.
Put mine back to std. filter a few years ago. It will run smoother. Carbs must be set exactly as the manual.
