2018 euro4 bike. Rev counter raises and falls at will ! During travelling. Usually cruising or light throttle use. Any ideas?

My needle came loose on my rev counter and a clever person (not me) managed to dismantle the unit and told me to glue the needle to the shaft carefully and reassemble. It worked.
