I am in the process of aquiring parts for my Atlas based project. On the shopping list is a analogue style revcounter incorpoating a digital speed display window. I'm probably going for a Daytona Velona 80mm, but have been told by the seller that I will have to use resistor type plugs to prevent any interference with the electronics.
My question is simply are these type of plugs okay with a magneto, in this case a Lucas K2F ? I may later rebuild an old SR2 I have in store.

Martyn.

Yes, you can use 5 kOhm plug caps or 5 kOhm resistor plugs.

Using both is inadvisable.

You could try running with no suppression and see if it really is a problem.

Thanks Thrasher, I will try without to start with but if it causes a problem at least there is a viable fix.
