reserve fuel tap

G'day, I have just purchased a Norton Commando 850 after an abscence of 30 years riding them . I for the life of me cannot remember which fuel tap is the reserve , is it the left or right tap? Can anybody help please?

We had a long thread about this a while back. It's probably still online.

Reserve is normally on the right except sometimes they put it on the left. When I replaced the petcocks on my bike a few months ago I bought two reserves. I like to use left as the reserve, easier to switch it when you run out.

Yes, it's always on the left except when they put it on the right.

Or is it the other way around?
