Removing mirrors

A simple question for you all. I'm ordering some bar end mirrors for my mk2 SF. Is it a right handed thread on both mirrors?

My 2014 Sport had l/h thread on the front brake side. Also 8mm dia.

Same on the new ones.

Seemed totally counter intuitive to me, I was thinking they’ll stand more chance of coming undone. I actually suspected themfactory had simply put ‘em on the wrong sides!

But it’s apparently done intentionally for, safety reasons, they’ll fold easier if hitting and object, or person.

Be careful removing the stalks, the metal is not the strongest - mine snapped - nothing to do with turning the spanner the wrong way either!
I also used the blanking screws as per Voodoo - site is slightly different for EU - Designcorse.com, about £9 for each screw left and right hand thread

P.S. from Olivia at Norton HQ

The internal diameter of the sport handlebar is 14mm and the thread size for the mirror stalks are M8 X 1.25. The right hand stalk is a left hand thread.

Well I wasn't expecting that!

Yes I want plug the holes, though I will be turning the mirror mounts upside down as well. No reservoirs to hold in place like the CR :)
I have the CRG lane splitter bar end mirrors on both of my bikes.
I seen a picture of the Norton bar end mirrors and may get a pair for my Naked.
No complaints about the CRG mirrors at all. Very high quality. I just wanna keep my Naked all Norton.

What mirrors do you have in mind?
