Went out for a ride yesterday on my 2013 Norton commando sport, stopped at a local beauty spot to admire the view (and have a fag) and when I turned the ignition back on there was no power, no lights or clocks and, obviously, it wouldn't start. Called for breakdown/recovery assistance and a very nice chap turned up 2 hours later. He had a go at finding the problem and seemed to think it could be either the reg/rec or the alternator. Now, I'm no electrician but when I pointed to the reg/reg (behind the starter motor) he said that was part of the ECU so not sure if his advice is solid.
So if any of you fine chaps out there have come across this problem then i would greatly appreciate some advice before I delve in any further.
The battery is good and always on a charger. I also have a manual.
Cheers, Chris.
