I have an approximately 15-year-old old tube of this grease still in one of my guns. Maybe it has to do with the age, but it seems a lot more waxy than other greases I have, like Valvoline and Shell.

I see it now costs about twice as much as other brands of grease.

Has anyone on here used this red stuff, and liked or disliked it?

I don't have that one, but I do have red grease, which I like cause you can tell when it's dirty.
I have red, green (Phil Wood), and "clear" now, got rid of all the black stuff.

Frankly, I've never figured out how to tell if any greases of the same grade/type are any different at all. I've always just bought whatever grease was on the shelf that met the purpose I intended to use it for. Just like any automotive fluid, if it meets the grade/type required, than it's the "right" oil, grease, brake fluid, antifreeze, etc, for the job.
