Hi, I'm just starting into rebuilding/restoring a '73 Roadster. I haven't had a lot of time to search the forum yet, but am looking for advice on mechanical/electrical upgrades. I am rebuilding for street use, would like to get practical increased performance and address reliability issues as I go. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi well here goes, personally I would fit electronic ignition I have had Boyer Rita and Tri-Spark out of the three I rate the Tri-Spark. Also I would fit a 3 Phase alternator and a suitable modern combined regulator/rectifier. Boyer and Wassell make them as well as others. This should help with the electrical side of things
(Last point if you get a 3 Phase alternator make sure you get the correct combined regulator/rectifier.)

I'd echo the Tri Spark as the first thing I'd do. It seems the most bang for the buck.
