I'm trying to replace the double row bearing in the brake drum / sprocket, but I'm having problems getting the bearing spacer out. I've removed the Dished washer and the felt seal, but the next washer (06.2071) is very tight on the OD.

I've consulted the usual oracles, and the best suggestion is to remove the spacer (06.2070) by gripping it in a vise and tapping alternate sides on the brake drum to work it out, but the little bugger is being rather obstinate.
Before I fetch a bigger hammer (just how hard can you wallop the brake drum before it cracks anyway??), does anyone have any Words of Wisdom here?

And before some clever clot says that you have to remove the circlip first, I need to remove the damn washer to get to the circlip :) to remove the bearing......

I have had this issue also. You can drill small holes in opposite sides of washer (06.2071) and pull it out with 2 screws that can tap into the holes. Of course you have to replace the washer, but now you can get at the circlip. You can take the bearing out with the spacer still attached.
For removing the spacer 06-5290 with the bearing in the drum (or even after it is out, but I haven't tried that) I used a blind bearing puller with slide hammer. The vise technique didn't work for me.
