I was checking the tech page on rear iso I noted bolt torque setting @ 300 in/lb I don't think this to be correct seems a wee bit much can anyone correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.. Doxford 69 750 roadster

300 in-lbs is 25 ft-lb or 34 newton-meters, which the 1/2 inch stud an nuts should handle easily.

Tks Ron need my brain checked thought ft/lb @ 300 not in/lb couldn't imagine it that high lol

Hey Ron. L,
What do you recommend lubing and what type of lube is good for the ISO's?

Brewer.

Dielectrical grease - i.e., silicone based grease - is good for rubber bits.

Greg and I are on the same page on that one. I use Dow 111. I have had the tube for years and couldn't tell you where I bought it though.

Do you put that stuff on the PTFE washers also or leave it dry?

Brewer

The manual states: "recheck that all parts are perfectly clean, grease lightly using silicon grease such as Releasil No. 7, including inside each gaiter" I always assumed this meant the PTFE washers too and coated them also. This grease is applied on FINAL ASSEMBLY. When determining the shim pack it should be dry.
