All these bikes are up on the center stand.
Remove the centerstand.
Way less weight to carry around ( Too ) .
Think about why you need a center stand.
You can fit it back on to change a tire or other work quite easily.
I hit the little button on my commando these days too
But I didn't for nearly 40 years
I only have one bike with a center stand
I have always removed center stands , indicators, mirrors, chain guards choke slides etc
Not so much these days tho
My t160 still has a center stand fitted and I'm lucky it did because I snapped a drive chain and it wrapped itself around it !
Could easily have punched a hole through the case's or wrapped up around the back wheel sprocket!
Commando was/is the first bike I owned that has a centre stand. Makes a pleasant change come service time not to do the balancing act with bricks/wood etc for oil levels and spannering etc...
Something in my psyche won't let me start/run the engine when it's down, though.

Know what you mean. I avoid it too. I've done it a few times when adjusting the carbs and now in the habit of applying the front brake when revving it, to reduce the shuffle. With the mk3 hinged saddle you can't straddle the bike to get it upright and check the oil.
