Put the rear axle drum assembly back together today. New tire as well
What a difference. The bike was neglected and sat for 20 some years. I had the engine and trans redone and have been riding it but there is a ways to go.
The cush pads in the rear were gone, 30 year old tire and junk bearings.
The rear is now tight and rides like it should. The front is next. Too bad its getting cold. I am really getting into this machine.
My HD has been sitting for more than a month. No interest in it anymore. Something about running vintage.
FWIW it started on the first kick EVERY time I stopped today.
I like to be different.
