Good for you. A real blast from the past, hope you have some good times getting the old girl titivated for the open road.

Good for you. Hope you restore it to it's previous glory, but it's your bike. That prop stand is short, somewhere someone gave me the number for a BSA lever that's longer and fits but I of course lost it and never did find one. I use a block of 2x4 under it or at least a 1x.

I just fitted an early stand and it does the same ,but my 69 3s has the same stand but sits with the rear wheel raised going to have a look see and maybe do a modification to "eleveate" the problem, or is it elevate.

Is there a difference in center stands ? My kickstand is there, but no way im using that.

As I see it, the early center stand, through 71 (70 manufacture?) I think was mounted off the frame with brackets off the bottom of the 2 bottom frame tubes, and after that it was mounted off the cradle which held the gearbox and engine weight. So the early center stand will let the engine push down the isolastic donuts and the later one will take the weight of the engine and gearbox. At least that's the way I see it.

Dont loose those ' mufflers ' . Theyre the Wassel ones, by the look .
Usually you use p.k. screws ( 3 ) for the baffles . As the rivets come loose and the baffles dont fit as well if a semi flattens them .

The Cones are heavier steel than the Avg. muffler - so you get a fruitier tone . And theyre Not Restrictive .

So boil them in oil to preserve , & dont junk em . Thanks.

Thank you, I looked in and see the rivets, everything is still quite solid :)
