re-fitting rear wheel on a mk111

Hello all can any one tell me when refitting the wheel back to the sprocket is the hub flush to the sprocket or is their a small gap. mine seems to have about a 1/8 gap and doesn't seem right like it aint going all the way into paddles . thanks M.C.
 
re- fitting rear wheel

Thanks lab for the info just seems like it would fit in tighter. I can see with a flashlight in the gap that the paddles are in the vanes if i hold the sprocket tight and try to turn the wheel theirs a slight movement in the hub just a little rock. is that correct? Thanks M.C.

My own MkIII has a gap of around 3/32" between the hub and sprocket, I suppose the gap is necessary because the sprocket moves within the cush drive under acceleration and braking, and the two parts would rub if there was no gap?

I expect so, as mine does exactly the same thing.
