Quiet Power Drive (QPD) clutch drum questions

I've had a QPD belt drive primary set up on my Commando for many years. The sealed clutch hub bearing (6007RS C3) has developed some play and needs to be replaced. Also the clutch hub has become notched.

I assume spare parts are no longer available and I suppose I'll try to dress the notching with a file

Regarding the bearing, I'm willing to spend a bit more to get a higher quality bearing. The one in there now is a KOYO (Japan). Anyone have a recommendation for a high quality replacement?

KOYO is a decent enough brand for the likes of Suzuki to use as OEM fitment so must have some merit.
Japan made bearings seem to still have a high quality and reliability.

I bought a new QPD belt drive for my PU TR6, not directly off the manufacturer but as far as I know the guy making them is still around so maybe contactable as far as spares availability.


I have a GT and also punted a 78 CBX for over 7 years. (1983 to 1990+)

The QPD website was last updated in 2009. I sent Bob an email because he claims (or claimed in 2009) he can build a belt drive clutch that goes on any Norton model without modifying the outer primary cover. I'll take that bet. The P11 is a Norton model, albeit unique. The primary chain case is narrow and the stator is bolted into the outer cover. I figure he is retired, but if he can make a "bolt-on" belt drive clutch for a P11, I'm all in.

That bearing only turns when you pull the clutch lever ( engine running)
So most of the time it has an easy life.
