If you are a wage earner, you have a different perspective from those who believe they have arrived. However the truth probably is that we are all programmed to comply. I worked in heavy engineering for many years and I realise that unions have a role to play. ISO9000 type international standards are based upon 'continual improvement' - without worker participation, achieving that becomes very difficult. Those standards are a fundamental part of globalisation. Hitler was able to run German industry without industrial democracy and so do the Chinese, but Hitler lost WW2. The industrial deaths and injuries in China are horrendous.
