Hello,

I see that someone fit PWK carb on Commando 750. Can you say me what are the basic adjustment for a single carb 32mm or twin carb 32mm.

Gil

The Commandos come out with twin carbies, I have been running my twin 32 PWKs for over 4 years now without any problems, once tuned they stay tuned, always starts first kick, they are a high performance motor for their time so why starve them with a single carb.

I don't want necessary change for a single carb. Can you say me what jets and needle and trottle you have on your twin carbs?

Can you say me what jets and needle and trottle you have on your twin carb and what manifold you use ?

You should already have the jet sizes (hopefully sent by Matchless).

38 pilots

142 or 150 mains

But for Nortons there is more to it than just jets.

You need special JS needles that don't come with the carbs. The tower that holds the needle needs a bigger cross hole (3/32") the float height must be re-adjusted so the fuel level is raised. The hole in the slide needs to be drilled to .120" for the larger needle to prevent binding. Theres a few other modifications, checks and adjustments I do for these carbs to make them work and flow enough fuel for Nortons. I used to sell these but it became too much labor and I switched to Keihin CRS carbs (with a little help from Matchless thank you) because the customer doesn't have to balance them and that makes them much easier to tune.

If you are interested in a prepared set of 32mm PWKS with manifolds, boots & cables - PM me.
