Huh????? But it's a word right? Yea I know, I was just trying to be funny. Still not too good at it, The U.K. had some truly great spies during the wars and am sure they still do. How about the word Bloke, Is it a bad term to use for a friend? I'll stop trying to be funny now.

You wouldn't usually use the term "Bloke" for a friend.

The nearest I can get to translating Bloke into US terms would be "a fellow" or "some guy", not someone who was a friend or "a mate".

I remember a story about a girl at a topless beach in Australia, and a young boy walked up to her and asked, "Are you a bloke or a Sheila?"

And don't forget Football which for some reason is called Soccer :) (Ooops that one just slipped out..)

I think there is some kinda soccer thing going on in the near future? Do you guys know anything about it?

Yes, it's called the "RoW Cup."

There's a billiards tourney on too; that's a bit more exciting....

Just a little Yank humor, RoW!

No - don't get us started on the 'World Series' discussion.

Right now, there are a lot of cars driving around with St. George's Cross (England...no, sorry, 'ENG-ER-LAND') flags fluttering out of the windows - I've been told by a Doctor that it's to identify educationally sub-normal people
If there are any genuine football, er...soccer fans reading this I apologise
I'm immune to all this as the Isle of Man TT races are on telly all week :)
Incidentally, an American bloke, dude, guy, chap, geezer, wallah etc. Jimmy Moore is doing rather well in the Privateer standings - I believe he's currently second 8)

I'm sure Fox News will have mentioned it....

Is IOM on now, real time?
I saw some last Monday or Tuesday on TV and wasn't sure if it was a replay or current.
Cameron Donald was riding and last year he crashed, so I think it's current?

Thanks, I just had a look on the web for the TV guide here and the side cars are on tonight at 10.30pm (Brisbane Australia time)

I just hope someones told them that they're not allowed to wear helmets & shoulder pads, & that they must play using a round ball!
I too have no interest in the game myself, but my less fortunate colleagues at work tell me that ENG-ER-LAND are playing the USA on Saturday.
Getting back (almost) on topic a workmate of mine when cleaning high voltage contacts on circuit breakers, when finished, used to stand back & look at the gleaming items & say "look at them, shining like a shilling up a sweeps a*se". I've no idea whether its English in origin but it always made me chuckle.
