I am close to firing this bike up after a complete rebuild.

The crank has been split and cleaned.

The oil pump has been rebuilt and AMR did the timing cover upgrade.

I am trying to fill the crankshaft via the rocker feed line on the timing case. (per the manual)

I have put 4 OZ of oil in without problem. I can't get any more oil in ,if I apply pressure it is actually leaking at the old banjo bolt.

The oil drain bolt on the crankcase is out.

I have a couple of questions.

1) Where is this oil going?
2) why is it not draining out the bottom of the crankcase?
3) why all the resistance after 4OZ?
4) does the AMR upgrade not allow the oil to pass to the crankshaft without the pump turning? I have not spun the engine.

Thanks, Brian

You've filled the oil ways, the sludge trap and now forcing the oil past the big-end bearings I would guess.

The gallery you are pushing oil into goes straight to the crank feed. About 4 ounces is all you will be able to push in.

Sounds like your ready to start it.
