Hello

I have a hand held factory oil priming pump with the banjo bolt. Is there anything wrong with removing the spark plugs and rotating engine with a drill motor attached to the rotor nut to assure oil circulation?

Thanks!

Probably unnecessary to do that. I believe the workshop manual shows priming the crank following a full strip down, sludge trap clean out etc.

If bike has sat ages or fresh build, good idea to squirt oil in rockers, down the pushrod tunnels.

I did this with another mfg bike that sat for 6 years.
Probably wouldn't work due to direction of rotation and thread direction.
Thanks

Just give it some shots w the priming pump and kick it over a few times. Should be just fine.
I run an oil pressure guage off the rocker feed at head. Always goes right to 50 or 60 psi immediately at start up, so we're only talking fractions of second for oil reaching where it needs to go, at least on the pressure fed things (cam is left to beg for trickle down oil from rocker box).

If primed right and plugs out won't take long for the oil to get up to the head kicking it, but if primed right just start it be even quicker.
