Powder coating cylinder

I am thinking about powder coating the cylinder, and was wondering if anyone has tried this and if they would recommend it. My main concern is heat dissipation, but the durability of powder coat is tempting, compared to repainting. I know of modern bikes that are now powder coating their cylinders, however their cylinders are an alloy and not cast iron. Any insite would be appreciated.

Try this link, this guy does not recommend coating cylinders or heads,
but, admits he has seen it done, also lists a number of places that do coating.
