Guys and Gals,
I have a line on a Norton that was discoved under a tarp in an old hay barn recently back in Kansas. Still getting info from a buddy assigned in the Unit down the street (yes, we are still deployed). All he knows is that it was a Norton motorcycle. It was a friend of his back home in Kansas. He is going to talk to his friend this evening via Skype so I have him checking on engine number/frame number of the mysterious Norton in a barn. Also I am asking for a picture, at least we can figure out what it is with either numbers or better yet some pics.
As some of you know, I am going to be busy with the 73' 850 I recently aquired when I get back to Kansas (VERY SOON). As understanding as my wife has been, I really do not need another motorbike in the 24' x 24' garage/workshop.....I think 10 classic motorcycles stuffed in my humble workshop will have to suffice for now...

ANYWAY, anybody out there looking for that elusive next Norton project???? It is a Norton (I am guessing a Commando but who knows) and as soon as I find out more on just what exactly it is, I will pass it along to you guys/gals if anyone is interested. I have bought none of my bikes off of Ebay (I HATE Ebay)....they have all been from word of mouth such this......and usually the Kansas farmer just wanting it gone, so sometimes (not all the time) you can get a killer deal.

I should hear something either tomorrow or the next couple days....stand by....

Mine should be completed in the next month or so and would like to start on a new one. This time for the wife. Let us know what you find out.

Chuck

Have my eye out for a Norton single or Featherbed twin,, but no matter what it turns out to be please let us curious minds know

I am at the age where an E-start would be nice.

Slick
