Does the forum only allow embedded video from YouTube? Nothing else seems to work but there's nothing in the faq's and nothing comes up in searches

Yes, there is a video button. You'll find it right above the text box when you enter a post.

It only appears to work with YouTube , is this the case?
 
At the moment I only have a Flickr account and it doesn't seem to work from that.
 
Hey thanks for the demo video you picked swooshdave.
Actually has Commando relevance to me in the air flow
over humps but most especially the water turbulence
in a sideways wind blast that breaks a solid flow up into a scale
of sizes that impact hard stuff to explode off of.
Solves an anti-detonation water nozzle configuration issue.

When I tag video option it puts bracketed [video] test
in post, duh what does one do from there?

Not to worry I've no video worth cluttering the forum bandwidth.
but here's 1st try on camera taped to face shield on appliance SV650.
Needs post mount to null shield buffet noise.

Just paste the same URL between the two bracketed videos and you get

You need to go to the page with the individual video on it. You were linking from "your Channel" page.
 
OHhhh, now I get ya swoohdave,
I couldn't figure out how to get out personal section into public, sheeze
so grabbed URL from there, digital dummy that I am, sorry.
Computer corruption event left me password locked out youtube so far.
They say account still active but no help to access or reset so far.

A bit pensive my fettering made bounce back in errors too.
Now you've embarrassed me with the repeated displays
I'll wait till Commandos flying again for something worth viewing.

I wouldn't call you a dummy, although I may question your sanity from time to time. :mrgreen:

Some of us have been doing the computer thing for a while.
