petrol tank

Does anyone know where I might find a used 1971 roadster tank in the UK? Please don't say the obvious eBay. I'm looking for one that can be a bit rough, long as its not rusted inside. I have a friend that will be in the UK from Namibia who can organize its return to the big sunny.

Alternatively any other make and model tank that will fit a commando and work with a Corbin seat?

Original 1971 Roadster tanks would be fibreglass. Steel Roadster tanks occasionally turn up on UK ebay, however there's usually not much difference in selling price between an original tank and a new Emgo Roadster replica.

A quick look at Ebay shows almost nothing that isn't from India. This shouldn't be that difficult.....Surely somewhere out there in Motorcycle land there is a old steel roadster tank looking for a bike to sail on into the sunset with....

Check out the Emgo tanks, they get the thumbs up from those 'in the know'...

And they have no rust, no leaks, no damage ...

Emgo tanks are the way to go.

Usable steel Norton tanks are like Unicorn's teeth-first, you have to find a Unicorn!
