Yes, the bit that bit that bolts on the bottom. Are any gaskets available off the shelf ? If not , what material suggestions. Going to make up a blanking plate for coating new tank with ethanol resistant epoxy. Any suggestions. OK, appart from getting an alloy tank ! Cheers, Roy.

I'm pretty sure it's the same gasket as a Moto Guzzi model ( and probably others) but I just look up the price on Gutzibits and there were two listed. One @ £52 and one @ £82 !!

I would buy a sheet of Viton, and cut it to fit.

Which sealer are you using?

Couple of quid from a hydraulic supplier. Viton to resist ethanol.

I had 2 sealers in mind , caswell and FTS 3000. Went for the latter then thought ask about E10 !! Looks good 🫰

Sealing a gas tank does not guarantee the complete prevention of bubbling or intrusion, especially if the tank wasn't appropriately prepped when it was initially painted.

II'l also be using stabiliser from now on, in all bikes ! Bought a 2021 tank off Ebay and will do what I can to protect it. Should last a while with care ? Roy.

My Ducati 1098 when I bought it from a mate in 2016/17, was on its second tank, and that had already swollen and cracked the paint. Those tanks are made by the same company as the Norton tanks, Acerbis. I bought a brand new tank for it. I've only used E5 and only used Esso, Shell etc (unless caught out somewhere and had to do a little get me on my way top up). That tank today is still perfect. My mate used to fill up predominantly at the Tesco fuel station near to him.

As it's a 2021 tank perhaps it might survive E5 ? Do you know about the recycling codes, Roy ?

Ive got a couple of newer tanks in stock, there's one that is dated as 2022 (from what I can make out on the overly think paint), came from a 2024 bike, and has stickers on it from the factory saying e5 and e10.

Can get E85 on the continent…
Put that light out 🔥💥🧯

Different tank methinks? Changed petrol gauge ,pipe module entirely. Last of the garners that I've got ??? Roy.

They only changed the fuel pump in recent months. This tank came from a 2024 bike, but has the older style pump.

Round hole, diamond peg ? Also going to try to get info from acerbis. Roy.
