"Buy" far bulk of Mz Peel expense, inventing and processing done or here with us in her living room. Now and then extend a socked foot and stroke the Hover art deco polished Drouin belt cover, when wife not looking. She knows there's competition but its her dilemma, being ignored by me or relieved from my attention. Year 28, April Fools day anniversary we can't forget the joke. I'm under firm orders, once fluid filled "its" an outside pet~!

Point of post is a endless ramble on ongoing Peel delays, to mention stuff to motivate me from lying about doing it. Not much will apply to any other Norton. Last post was comedy of toxic metal splashing to bend oil manifold then repair loosened tubes in un-weldable un-solderable non magnetic "cast crap metal" my welder named & rejected. So another place JBW has become Mz Peels middle name. A big JBW icon gets pasted on front of the frame stem, below the brain box of digi display data logger. Anywho I'd placed Cerrometal left overs on fire place door shelf to melt back into a storage slug. I was gone, wife thought fire too hot so opened one glass french door to hit with plant sprayer that bounced off metal grate to strike other door glass shattering. Days lost dissembling BBQ'd fasteners then a month later, today hours stress to get going again and think of Peel. Crisis was to get home 30 m before house so smoky would harm big bird.

OHHHHhhh -was going start with rear end swing arm stuff but looked up for a flash back, a few days ago retrieved Dunstall 'long dong" hollow megaphone and stuck on 2>1 header, instant HOWLLING in delight surprise/annoying wife and macaw at the Buck Rodgers Burt Monroe ray gun rocket like extension - about half a foot beyond rear tire! Later fun flow details for mega end muffler to make supertrap jealous.

Ok few days ago eye balled rear wheel, jaw drop shock to see it L off cented! Realized spacers on wrong sides and then about a hernia trying to thread axle through spacers I couldn't reach in wheel depressions d/t custom RMG box arm and Water Buffalo hub. Super glued them on for slick centered sprocket aligned assembly. Then put drive chain on to see 2" lift shocks allowed chain to foul swing arm, like it does many off road cycles. Ugh. Days shopping found nothing to fit so hunted in living room to find 1/4" robust smooth rubber sheet to cut ~1" strip ~ foot long to glue down, with fiddly bungee cord tape and pressure inserts to set up in place then razor trim excess. Won't matter now if it bottoms or tops out no clanging.

Next is redo fork inside and out with nothing any one else can use-learn from.

Steve - if you're going to blog, you understand photos are mandatory!
Have fun (not too much)
Cheers
Rob

i first became aware of alum cradles when i saw one on ebay, this is first one i've seen in a bike? i think? i guess at some point a bunch were made?

i don't have a clue what the breast swashplate thing is about? other than something at the top front lol..

just realized the other day that 1 bike at least has maney cases, also a tti box in there somewhere, i think sellin now...

takes awhile for new folks to have a clue what & how norton vets talk about the bike

a buncha recent posts from H related to this pix starting here

Ugh, photos might confuse as much as reveal. Off to car mechanic and tractor parts and my puter geek for more delay rescues and cloud based image learning curve balls. Lost smartphone and a car last spring d/t flooded road, not crossing a water way so still catching up again. Back when up up speed to fit in here.

Above photo is view of 2004 Ms Peel's cute 'junk', now less cluttered 'shaved' Mz Peel but only I get to look/feel - for now.

never hearda "Dunstall 'long dong' [lol] hollow megaphone" & never seen something like this on a norton

The colorful -3AN fittings on hose takes oil from the cooler into bypass toilet paper bypass filter which leads past JBW drilled into elbow dial thermometer then into head via off the shelf brake hose. The other hose with fiber/clear tube, carries oil from engine to rear frame tube OIF. The black cone shape AN threaded thingy on end of soft braid hose, is check valve to prevent wet sump back wash from OIF.

To get oil for head from pump into the cooler, I used Ms Peel's common SS braid line from oil manifold - but needed 3/8" hose nipple to mate to cooler. Impossible to order up or required bulky adapters, so cut this Gordian Knot by hack saw off the banjo ring, leaving the curved pipe part. Then found 3/8" brass nipple I drilled out base some, and banjo stump, to JBW nipple on banjo stump. Put it on fireplace mantle for almost an hour to speed set up, then freaked realizing had not checked over run of epoxy into the tiny flow hole, but caught in time a small screw and tiny pick got clear before hardened. With shrink wrap over the bodge, looks tiddy finished as if ordered from hi end vendor.

No patients today so traveled for tractor pto over ride device and a endured a few hours with a geek learning ins/outs of One Drive and Google Cloud transferring images and docs. As lesion example we used above late Ms Peel with Dunstall megaphone image but it appears cropped like a scanned photograph.

Tried to get recent photo of Mz Peel long dong sticking out further, but my 'puter does not function/work as geek's system, even though he recently set it up, so will take more hours to find out why hobot always 'exceptional', again. Its (side view Ms Peel) a Goggle cloud stored image so if place cursor on image it wakes up a zoom function.

Looked at Maney's billet version but wouldn't allow as good smooth tight hose alignments and so short, hose clamp connection about impossible to access w/o taking manifold off and didn't cost ten bux off ebay besides too store bought fancy for a hay seed. All 3 my Commandos are JBW rescues, even a large chunk of top cylinder fin and so many leaks in frame and boxed swing arm only liquid cold welding with magnetic guidance could solve. Steven and me had almost 20 yrs email pow wows and spent $1000's with him, so just one of several that reflexly respond to my contacts as, Oh Hi There Easy Money. Couple hi end vendors in New Zealand too.

If not for the voyeurs here wouldn't bother with digi doodoo image re-learning old ways so Commandos keep me current. I recoil from geek level competence after intense early days, booting up dead puters w/o key board or mouse functional, like car battery jumping and forcing code below DOS level, then worse corporation got strangle hold so quit the habit. Hehe, ever see early Mission Impossible or such where they enter sky scrapers to tap into business/bank phone lines, fliping open brief cases with tools and computers and printers, oscilloscopes and radar generators for sonar lke signals blips tracing illegal tap distances to follow outside and find. Decided did not want spy vs spy life style. If old enough to remember dial tone phones and Blue Box, inventor was my mentor. If bored review article, but they weren't insiders, to mention the big buyers were Mafia and Drug loads. My breaking point was classic Pancake house wee hour meeting, wired up recorded and armed. You are always able to be monitored regardless of what ya think ya know to avoid it unless moving where cell signals don't reach.

Oh yeah most the taps were found inside phone company sub stations, only a few by private spys, up on poles near homes/offices we climbed. Ph Co. Sold out to global cartels wanting to know who others did deals with. Phone co. employee's discovering this became innocent victims. We'd take volts reading off 100's of stacked terminals, type data into programs that spit out print tape number lists to see which out of range to investigate further. Head flash lights and early digital displays only lighting. Got the data, freaked on who it found, packed up and split. Mid 20's yr old.

Steve, if you ask Roger nicely at RGM, he’ll sell you a stainless oil junction in kit form, ie, without the tubes welded in. He’ll also include different bend types. This give you the chance to shorten, bend, rotate the tubes and get them welded where you want.

You might have one less worry on your mind with a stainless welded oil junction rather than one that’s been glued together? I know I would!

Fastie ed, Peel manifold turmoil saga done and installed. Finished mangling and gluing up half dozen other forced oil connections so moved on to other hang ups. Oil system done, but for actual testing to see if it blows frame apart or sucks it to collapse on itself.

Few days ago finally tried to fit drive chain, found could foul front of alu swing arm at extremes of suspension so glued rubber strap around end with GOOP, after 30 min scoring rubber to stick. Took 2 foot long drills and several JBW internal applications to seal til sucking on swing arm volume leaves my tongue stuck sealed so its air tight but don't know yet if will swell up distorted or burst with 100+ PSI. OIF spine cap is also a post for Scott steering damper (many events rules require) and pressure equalizing vent. OIF feeds oil to pump if stood on noise or rear.

Have oil temp sensor for exiting engine oil and JBW in dial for oil temp after cooler and oil filter just before enters head. Digi display kit came with two temp senders - smallish screw in brass plug type, one used in hose leaving engine, the other intended for water but will attempt to use for head temp. If lucky may be able to just put in the head hole for center front fastener, via JBW in alu sleeve that will just jam in. If not will convert to plug ring type sensor. Would of been difficult to mount cig pack size display on normal bars but Peels alu cross braced off road bars provided a slot to jam in display base up close to clutch gizmo so only couple zip ties will do it. Lucked out display base extends forward enough to mount its function selector control compactly stable, yet easy on/off. Still need to rig up a wheel magnet or gearbox sprocket for speedo function. Kit also monitors intake vacuum/boost and has performance accelerator function. All for ~$200 that would cost $2000+ from famous big vendors, for display function only. Data logging and performance monitoring a couple 1000 more.
