I've just received the PCV valve from Mike's supply and it's larger than I had expected. I'm hoping there's another 71 Commando owner out there with the breather port above and forward of the alternator/front engine mount that could explain where the valve is to be situated. It seems too big to leave hanging off the crankcase. Suggestions appreciated.

I plugged the cam-end breather with a bolt and mounted Mike's Reed Valve to the timing side blanking plate (behind the cylinders) after drilling the appropriate holes in the steel plate.

Stillreal,

on your breather set up, I would put the one way valve in the line about where it starts to up to the oil tank

that is probably about where your battery compartment is?

you will note that the two extensions off the valve are different sizes and may need to get some different hose line

Well, here is the way I mounted my "MikesXS" breather. Works a treat too ...
