Hi, I would like to fit a reed type pcv in an attempt to eradicate an annoying oil leak. I have researched the previous (extensive) posts on this subject and know that they can be purchased from Mikes XS or two other places in Holland and Germany. I live in the Uk and would like to know if other UK forum members have managed to purchase a pcv from Mike and how much did it cost including taxes post and packaging etc. I get the impression that Mike either won't or can't deliver to the Uk.The other two places in Europe seem to be out of stock of this item. I also know that a Ducati item may fit but requires a component to be made (turned) and I am not able to do this.
Anyway, pretty straightforward question . Where in the UK can I purchase a reed type pcv that is known to work/fit/look okay? Im getting a bit fed up with trawling the Internet.
Thankyou,
Smoggy.

Holland Norton works sell a cheap option for this Smoggy, Check 3/4 don this page: http://www.hollandnortonworks.eu/?lang=EN&page=10
Jim Comstock (Comnoz) will ship to you in UK with no fuss. I've got one of his sump plug screw in jobs, I've not tested it yet as I've not built the motor yet! But plenty of others give rave reviews and I can at least say that it's a very beautifully made bit of kit.

Hi Smoggy

I purchased two from Mike about 3 years ago? I remember the postage was high but that's all.

Chris

Hello. I am going to purchase another one of Mike's reed valves soon. I pay $30 including postage. I can mail one to you. Just pay the postage. the package is well below a pound (US) total.
Mike :)

Thank you so much for your replies. I had nearly given up with this one. I was hoping I could just buy on across the counter but it seems thats not the case in the Uk. Mike where are you based - how would your suggestion work?

I think that Holland Norton works have some in stock, Constant only accepts bank transfer, which can be expensive from the UK, if you use this website it will be much cheaper than using your normal bank for a transfer, it's safe as far as my experience goes. http://WWW.transferwise .co.uk

I used the Jim Comstck breather as I think that it is the better solution for the Big Sump plug models (pre72?)

Smoggy, I have a used Yamaha 650 pvc,the same as PCV engine breather valve #H14 on Holland Norton works.

If you haven't made arrangements with Mike3117 and you are happy to have a used one, mine would be £10 including postage. I am in the UK.

I would also agree with the other posters that Jim Comstocks breathers are superior to the Yamaha breather, but then they do cost more money. You pays your money............!

If you are interested, pm me.

I bought two , all up $51 US to New Zealand.
I did a 200 km run and noticed nothing under the bike.
I suspect the primary was filling up.
Its a 72 Combat.
