parts questions

Before I order some parts, I want to make sure I have this right.
Bike is a 74 850 roadster, RH4 head.
I want to use the 750 unbalanced pipes on it.
Should I use the 750 exhaust lock nuts part # 06-2464?
Also front gas tank mounts.
Can I use the rubber muffler mounts?

I've used both successfully. Choose the look you want.
No, muffler mounts aren't the correct rubber part to use to mount the tank.

Make sure the front tank mounts have a shoulder (or a thin slice of fuel line) to isolate the stud radially from the mounting tab. Any transmitted vibration is destructive :shock:

I use the old Mini rubber mounts, they last a lot longer.

I use the exhaust mounts in the back. Easier. Isolated. Had already
purchased studs and rubber washers for the front so I used them.
Also waist the bonded mounts as suggested by hobot years ago.
More give to them that way.
