P11 back to the road

I picked up this P11A last summer from a dealer in the south west. It was one of 3 or 4 he had at that time, I understood that he got them all from a single collector in the US. It had been rebuilt at some time in the pasts and probably not been used on the road. The frame clearly repainted, new engine gaskets and good quality nuts & bolts. It is fitted with a non standard (home made) side stand. The other bikes had the same type of stand, has any one out there come across these before. The bike also has a distinctive chromed oil tank & sticker. The bike has a number of non original or "correct" parts. However she does run and I have put 500 + miles on her.

I've never seen a side stand like that, but I haven't seen any P11's up close at that low an angle other than my own. I would use it and forget about it unless you plan to do a full restoration, and sell it.
