Other thing I do
L’Acadie Red growing on old Plum tree in middle of my other time killer ..... might have to expand photo to see the grapes ....

Other thing I do
Perspective from back porch .... bike shed on left .... Jo’s garden shed on right .... built them both solo in my free time when I still worked for a living .... the vegetable garden was just a black berry bramble when I got here ... 17 years got away on me in hurry ...

I lived at my place for most of my life and before building my big shed/workshop I had a vegie garden but that is now where my shed was built, that was 30 years ago now but in the last year I have built garden beds all over the back yard for my vegies and down the front flowers and herb garden beds and potted plants, nothing better than going in the garden to pick fresh vegies or herbs for dinner time.
Up at my shed I have a awrning off it and growing two vines one at each end which will grow over the top and along the side fence 2 passion fruit vines growing, it has changed my whole yard in such a short time and my mates are so amazed in how things have change.
Better than a boring old back yard, just love picking through my gardens and watching thing come up from seedlings to watch them grow and picking the outcome and the fruits of your hard work to get is all started.

Very nice Craig. The landscape up North beautiful, love my time in Maine.
Gardening is one of life's great pleasures, I have done it for a living.
Here's to another 17 for you and your garden yard!

Thanks for best wishes , yup a garden helps to keep a fella grounded haha! ..... this 3rd and last place I will do .... 17 yrs for me ,at this point is prolly wishful thinking though ....

Wow - I am envious. I like to think I am a capable person with varied skill sets but gardening is certainly not one of them .
I have been told that my agricultural capabilities are such that I couldn’t grow mold on old bread in a damp basement and I agree with that assessment. I seem to recall trying to grow a certain type of plant with my college roommate back in the early 70’s but the memory is very hazy for some reason...

Truth is ,Jo my wife is boss she points I do , we compost so no chemicals ever ... just old fashioned labour ... usually early morning just after first light ... then it bike time .... she a musician so she practices (while I ride) in music room ( all solid pine boards ceiling & walls) I made for that purpose in half our basement ....an excellent arrangement .... for us both ...

They say working in a garden help with quick recovery after a accident or a operation and sickness, today I was staking my tomato plants up and picking peas but they didn't make it to the kitchen, just sat in the vege garden eating them, garden is only fed on compose, chook poo and oganic seasole liquid ferterlizer.
They also say music helps things to grow, might have to pull the banjo out now I have retired lol.

Damn Craig, the American dream IS alive, and it's in Canada! Early morning is always best spent in the garden. Beautiful!
