It fits Maney and combat cases with the rear vent. Of course you can always drill any case to fit this breather to scavenge the oil from the sump. Only 4 bolts total compared to 6 or 8 bolts with the more complicated design. Requires 2 threaded bolt holes into the case and one breather hole as below. With the silicone gasket you don't even need to machine the round flat area.

Jim, he doesn’t have that type of case and sounded very much like he didn’t want to do any machining.

the 72/73 750 case's require NO machining with the CNW/comnoz/NYC breather. it bolts on where the old breathes was. at the bottom rear of the case.

I'm restoring a 72 Commando and no mods have been made. I'm reading up on a one way reed breather and noticed it's a simple install with no machining required.

Yay or nay? Do you use them and is it worth it?

Bill, this conversation is unfortunately split over two threads! In the other thread Andre explains that his breather is mounted on the end of the cam, early style.

Andre, how much space do you want? Yes it’s kinda tight, but “a miss is as good as a mile”.
Here’s some pics of the uncleaned underbelly of my old nail:

Oh dear Andre, the plot thickens with your bike!

L.A.B is VERY seldom wrong with these things...
