Is the turn signal / kill switch assembly supposed to be on the left or right side of the handle bars? Mine is on the right, but I don't know if this is correct - schematics show the opposite. thanks :?:

Owners and dealers often swapped them over, and eventually the factory did too, so fit them whichever way suits you.

My 74's are on the right, but only because that's the way the "Lucas" text is etched on the two housings. Honestly, having the turn signal on the right is a pain, as it's awkward trying to activate/cancel the turn signal without twisting the throttle up and down. Like L.A.B. says, whatever suits you.

The switch castings are symmetrical, so each assembly can be dismantled and rebuilt with the casting turned 180 degrees.

The LUCAS logo is up side down with the turn signal / kill switch on the right - but I've been driving is so ling now like that, I might just leave it that way. Also - just bypassed the kill switch with a soldered jumper - out of the equation for stalling out. Hope that was it. :D
